Daryl and I. it's pretty long 20min.
I'm in the blue alpinestar suit. and then I get stuck behind a few other slower riders and the control rider. I didn't want to piss him off trying to pass him. haha.

keep an eye on about 10min 40 sec. the one guy in front of the control rider highsides. you can't see it because he is blocking it. but daryl gets pushed off the track by the control rider. oops.

I couldn't belive they only allowed passing in the expert group. At least that's what they said in the morning briefing. Strange rules.

BTW...Where is the footage of your pick-up spinning off the track at turn 10? Now thats something I'd like to see again! :lol :moon: :Pest:

ha ha...that sucked! the track owner didnt like it too much either...but damn it was like ice out there. they thought i was trying to act stupid, but i really was just giving the 4 banger a little gas in 3rd gear and it just went outa control. guy on the zx-10 highsided there and I almost did in the last session when off the line.

Wow, that vid was brutal. Was that Novice group? Those guys need to ride smoother and less on/off with the throttle and such. I'd also keep that XT hidden....

Yes, it was Novice. First timers at Putnam without even a full day of riding due to weather so you might want to lay off a little there Lizard.

we can't all be lizard's haha. yeah we were in the intermediat 1 group. probabably would had to move up after lunch but it rained until lunch time.
actually the 2 front guys were holding us up a bit. curvechasers asked everyone not to pass in the bends for some reason.
I know I could have at least carried 20mph more through most of the bends.
and then we got held up by even slower guys and the control rider.
I know he could have went faster but for some reason he wouldn't.
hell I didn't even get to touch my knees down until the very last session before the track closed. that time I made sure I got out ahead of everyone.

but hey, at least we are at the track and not out on the streets riding in tshirts and shorts.

I understand, but I find it funny how in today's world, people find the need to shoot video of themselves and make all sorts of reasonings why they didn't do this or they couldn't do that, etc.

Just curious why such things occur... Not busting balls, but if it is put out 9in a public forum, critiques are a part of the whole overall deal. Maybe having a little thicker skin might be appropriate, eh?

That's all. Carry on.

I/we ain't making any excuses. we just had a blast of a time. (the most fun I've ever had on a motorcycle) and wanted to share my experience with others that may not get the opportunity to do it or are affraid to do it.

I know its boring to a good/fast rider but hey, I'm working on it.:bootyshak

we got only 4 sessions I think. 1 at 20min and the other 3 at 15. I think it was or maybe it was 2 at 15min.
my screen name doesn't make me a fast rider. haha. if only it were that easy.

ive been riding sport bikes for exactly a year to the day, how many years for?
first trackday, actual session 2 and 3 (15minute sessions) how many lap have you put in there and what was your first three sessions times?
shooting video is fun, there are alot of people i know/ride with on here that wanted to see it, and asked me to post it cause they have never been. i dont get pissy when guys post vids of the local twisties and are much slower than me... why would anyone do that???
you wanna give me real advice? then do that please, but it will be a while before i can put it to use...

....and yeah i never heard a pro say they had a problem here or something was messed up there...nope no one says that and when they do its always bullshit no matter what

I'm more than willing to help anyone out if they come out to an STT event. I'd be honored to help someone looking for advice, but they need to approach me and ask. I'm by no means arrogant nor come across as a fast guy. I just think there are many things we all can learn every time out.

By the way, you can ALWAYS put advice to use. Good advice is that which can be used well by the one who was given it. If it is too advanced for someone to put to use, it isn't good advice... I can help as much as i can, but even I learn things time and time again. My dad always had a great saying - "There's always someone faster than you"....

cool. do you ride control for STT or something?
and dont play it off like you're not fast either, cause ive seen you mention your 'pathetic' laptimes before :) i know you're no different than anyone else though...always gonna be someone faster.

Yes, this year, I signed up with Monte to help instruct and control ride for STT.

Not sure about any fast laps or anything. i appreciate the support, but trust me, this year has shown my age too much and my times everywhere I have been have been pretty sad in comparison to what I used to be able to do...
