Is this a race or a trackday? Was just wondering because I would like to get some pit experience, and see how things are done during a race day...
trackday, pretty sure theres no more races at putnam this year.

Martin, on a track? Yea right. He is too busy shopping for more pink panties. I wont be able to make it because I will be in Nashville for the first North Central WERA round. Make sure someone tells Kenny, Dean, Mike and the rest of the Cycle Options crew I said hi. :2peace2:

No kiddin. Martin on track, that will be the day. :asantaani . I cant believe it's that time of the year already. I slept on this one. The bike is in no way ready for the track. I spent most of the winter working on the 7R (now gone out of my life forever) I need to get on the ball and get the 10R ready for some track action this year.

Sorry, I'll be in San Jose for work. So I won't be there:nono: So, I'll see everyone in the fall.
Yes, those are exhaust sliders. I can't believe the things people spend their money on. The Exhaust sliders are seen all over the place in the Super Moto world.
BTW, The new WERA legal side number plates are Fugly. But that's just my 2 cents. But, To each their own

You are probably right. I changed to a 190 rear from a 180 and decided to go GP shift during the winter. So watch out for wheel chatter if you are behind me on the straight.

If the weather is nice the classes are normally full. So, If you just show up, you may not be able to get in.
Just food for thought

read the rulse chump. they can go on the sides of the front fairing now. new size regs as well.

Actually, that's for the bikes that do not have room for numbers. Bikes like the new CBR1000, ZX10s, R6s, etc were the bikes they intended to make this rule for. Also, you need to still place the number on top of the tail section... If you choose that side number plate style...
For the guys who are running side fairing numbers:
"If the side numbers are displayed on the lowers they must have a 1/8” minimum black line around the plate area outside of the required 1/2” of numberplate background. Single numbers on the top of the tail are allowed ONLY if the rider has numbers on each side of the lower as well."
Meaning, it is intended for those with small tail sections. The 04/05s had plenty of room for numbers on the tail...
Also, consider moving the can sliders to just after the cannister strap and before the strap (requires you to unbolt the cannister). That way, when you crash, you protect the first part of the exhaust that hits the ground - the front portion right after the place it bolts to the mid-pipe.
Also, right after the strap will allow for the slider to push back some and not come off. Where you have it now, it will pull right off in a matter of inches once it hits and will not do much to protect the cannister...

It is a nice lookin' bike, but not mine. It belongs to stop4no1.
Mine is ugly as sin and a Yamaha. If I posted a picture of my bike, Motorcycle Protection Services would be at my door in a flash to whisk her away to a foster garage.:what:

According the the powers that be at wera the number on top of the tail is optional. I confirmed that before i went ahead with the ones on the fairing.

He didn't. He's kinda right. The rule was established for the newer bikes with REALLY small tail sections. It's kinda a grey area as he has a bike that can easily accomodate a set of numbers on the tail.
But, he is within the rules per say. Just a few techs might give him the business, but he isn't wrong, either...

You may have to spell it out for Martin. He is quite slow just about all the time. Look how long it took him to comment on what I said. You can tell he "really" had to think about it. :)

I hope everyone has a good time this weekend. Stay safe, ride smart and hope for good weather. Those of you going to Nashville for the WERA race stop by and say hi. :thumbsup
As far as stickers go. Don't forget that NKYsigns is a Localriders sponsor and does great work. Dave has helped me out a lot over the last couple of years. I will try and post some pics from this weekend when I get home.
