...in Florida I have rode and they are not N. Kentucky let me tell ya!
The one cool thing is there was a property development made/paved but no houses went up (in the city of Poincianna)...
That has been the local free race course...kinda cool until LEO's show up!

I live in Ohio (10 miles from N. KY) :D
Moved here in 96 from Tampa. When I got here I saw the roads and HAD TO HAVE ANOTHER BIKE! In Florida I had a few bikes, but as the only thing to do was drag-racing on country roads in the middle of orange groves...I just did not see the point.
So, all you Florida guys...I feel your pain. However, would I go back (other than Bike Week)?
:bootyshak
Don't think so!

That was the one thing we had going for us (and still do..) is development. When they build developments (malls or housing) they would lay a ton of black-top. The developers would sit on this this paved development until they sold it to someone that wanted to build houses or whatever. These great strips of pavement would sit unused for a year or more. Talk about a private race course! Go-carts are the most fun, but motard style with a barrowed dirt bike was a real blast. I guess I do miss some things about Florida... Other than T-Backed Hotdog chick's :D hehe

Check out this thread (http://www.localriders.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=1228) to find LocalRiders.com members in your area.
One quick note, LocalRiders.com isn't really a club. You'll find none of things that most clubs have; dues, ride masters, etc.
LocalRiders.com is about motorcycle enthusiasts sharing knowledge and riding motorcycles with the people that live close by.

Howdy all. I'm pretty new myself. Got my first bike, a Kawasaki EX500R, five months ago. Love it! Starting to catch myself stealing glances at CBR-600's!
Anyway, I'm also in Central Florida, just north of Titusville on the Space Coast (about an hour south of Daytona).
New to this site too... gonna look around a bit!
