hmmm, the last day to cancel and receive a full refund is saturday. Should have a pretty decent extended forecast by then. Right now it goes until the 31st and it looks like nothing but rain and crap.
If nothing definite by saturday, I'm pulling out. I'd rather receive a full refund and then reconsider and pay at the gate ($40 more) than be out half or all the fee by trying to hold out.
This weather sucks bigtime:mad:

Who cares if it rains? Putnam Park has better traction in the rain, than most tracks have dry. If it rains, practice smoother throttle control. What ya gonna do, set the world on fire with your powerslides?

um no thanks... And I've ridden on it when wet and it sucks...
I'd rather spend my $150 for some fun than putting around on a wet track

I dunno....
Those of us that went to Talladega last month ran the first day in the wet, and I felt like I learned a lot.
Rain is pretty common 'round these parts, and learning to be safer and faster in the wet sure should be worth $150.00

Wet and cold is a bad combination.

yea, its alright i guess if you have the desire to do that. I dont have the want or need to. I like to have my fun on a dry track, preferrably 50 degrees or warmer. If I'm racing then thats different, but I'm not. You can be smooth on the throttle and practice it without having to ride in the rain. Besides, I dont think my supercorsas would like a slick track too much.
I dont know where you get it that putnam has more traction wet than other tracks to dry?:what: Last year the morning session was wet and dudes were sliding off the track like it was iced over.
Oh well, thats cool that you enjoy yourself in damp conditions. I'll give some respect for that:D I just dont think its worth $150:rolleyes:

Its easy to call someone a sissy on a forum:rolleyes: Far, far different in person or especially on the track;)

OK, you should have gotten one of these ;) but I know about its traction because I've raced there since it opened. Believe it or not, some of us do know what we're talking about. :p

I fixed the first post for ya, Mr. dragger. :D
You don't want to challenge me to a track event, anyway...
I'll whine and cry out loud cuz I don't own a bike anymore. :(

Thats it! I've had it with you!!!!!!!!! I'm going to get 2 pocket bikes and we'll trade paint in a parking lot. YOu name the time and place! You'd better bring your "A" game too, because everything changes at full lean and 5mph...
BTW, excluding that I cant help but still wonder about your other post. I'm sure you are fast and good in the wet. However, the laws of physics simply would dictate to me that no surface could possibly retain more "grip" wet than any other one dry. Keeing in mind that both are clean and free of oil etc.

In my sarcastic view of the human plight, I was trying to tell you that wet riding is good for your basic skills set. Putnam Park has excellent grip, no matter the weather, and flows very well from corner to corner. Hence, it would be a stupendous day of practice, and I guarantee that you would be smoother, faster, and more comfortable at the next dry track you rode.

You know what is even more fun? Riding Nelsons in a hale storm. If that doesn't tell you that you are a dumb ass nothing will. :)

yea, maybe it would be. I dont think however, that I want to do it on a bike that I'm still paying for. Given a race bike or 2nd bike and a set of rains I would surely go out there to feel my way around. I'll get to it, sometime next year maybe.
Thanks for the advice, and I agree with you on the putnam layout. It is nice

looks like highs of mid 50's. I'll run intermediate before lunch simply because of the cool pavement and temps (mid 40's). After lunch, should be nice for the race group.
Heck, at least we can have some fun albiet a little chilly. I'd rather bundle up than be soaking wet any day of the week. I consider it great since it has rained every day this week.:D
See you guys there!
I'm leaving in about 3 hours...

the weather, yesterday, couldn't have been better...sunny, high about 58-60 in the afternoon. some wind down the front straight, but not enough to cause any problems.
only problem all day was in last (7th) session by race group, highside in bus stop turn and rider ad to be air-lifted out:( .
hope he is ok, but can't tell.
got 6 sessions in for all other goups..about 70-80 laps for most people I'd guess. track was a little slippery and cold for 1st two sessions, after that was great. had fun dicing with 3-4 other guys all day long, evryone was real cool, no squidly moves that i encountered....just a GREAT DAY overall:D
I am a little tired and sore today though. But I'd still be back there today if I could!
