Just curious as to the differences between the Honda CBRs and RR 600s. Also differences between f2s and f3s as pretty much all of the parts seem compatible. Thanks, just trying to learn a bit more background/information on my baby :D

Yea, head on over there and post a general "why are all these Honda's the same" type of question. You'll get more answers than you want to know...

Remember to sign your post with "Bahhhhhh--Bahhhhh" (Tell them Tom W. told you to say that):D <---that's an old joke between us.

Pretty much all of Honda's sportbikes have the CBR codename. The number's are the engine cc's and the RR(as in 600RR) stands for something too, but I can't remember. :D There's a few myths about it.

Check www.fireblades.org for great info :thumb:

As far as your F3 goes....not much more different than the 94 F2. It has the ram-air underneath the headlight, and something in the timing area is changed to give it a couple more ponies. It also has different brakes/rims if I recall correctly. I can't think this early in the morning.

According to a buddy of mine who works for the HRC development team in S.Cali, RR stands for Race Ready (version). These are usually the bikes that have upgraded components for those who want to use the bike mostly on the track or heavily on twisties. All or most of the new GP components of thier race bikes are dummed down slightly and put onto these RR's.

I thought "RR" usually meant "race replica".

the f2 and f3 as far as performance differnce's from what i learned the ram air, is the main diff, in hp, and if you want your f2 to handle better put f3 rims on it they weigh the same, but the wieght is in a differnt spot on the rim, the f3 rims end up with less rotating mass due to were they have the weight at, ohh and you can put a 180 rear on the f3 not on a f2.
