Will do...I'm so excited seeing how this will be my first on track experience. I'm hoping it is really worth it. If this goes well then I plan on doing several more track days this summer. I hear once you start on the track the streets will never be the same..

what i always tell people is they better start a track day piggy bank, once you start you wont want to stop. The most fun you will ever have with a motorcycle will be on the track. I used to want to be a fast street rider and longed to be a part of the front pack, but now I just ride and save the fast stuff for the track. I don't have the racing bug yet...i just do track days fer now.

When you want to hit up some other tracks after you get a feel for riding on the track and learn some technique check out www.sportbiketracktime.com I have done FASTTRAX and enjoyed it very much but I don't want to go racing and I want to get on as many different tracks as I can so I get my track time through STT (good, fun, safe, reputable nation-wide track day organizer). I won't do track days with anyone else. :thumbsup

If you're looking to go racing however, stick with FASTTRAX, local to Ohio and ideal if that is the direction you are looking for. ;)

so part of OH are you located in? (if you don't mind) Maybe we can do some trackdays together this summer.

I live in Columbus. I will be at the MidO TD -- crossing my fingers -- on July 12. If you visit CORE there are quite a few of us addicted to track days there and we just converted four more (hehehehe) to track whores. CORE Website (http://p210.ezboard.com/bcore74332) Check out the track days and racing forum. :thumbsup

Okay....It's official...I am now a track whore. :D I loved the FASTRAXX performance school. I can not believe the angles I learned to lean that bike. It was also amazing how much speed we were carrying through the corners by the end of the day. I did have my "agricultural aviation exprience". Coming out of turn 13 (the final right-hander before the front straight), I was trying to get the knee on the ground, however, I ended up putting my toe sliders on the ground. It kinda spooked me and I lost focus. The next thing you know I had gone a little wide. So through the grass I went for a couple yards and I was right back on the track. I finally ended up putting a knee down in that turn a few laps later and I almost got a knee down in the carousel. All I can say is I am officially hooked. There is no way I could have experienced that on the street. I thought I had pushed my bike before in the streets but after that I realized I hadn't even come close. I think I am going to order some pictures from the Motorsports Photo guy. He has a couple of my draggin the knee (just soooo d(*& expensive). I will post when I get them back. So ninjagirl expect to see me at some of the other track days this summer. By the way I saw the localriders trailer there toward the end of the day.

Hey keldrick1,
What color was your bike?
I was with the A group and on the last session noticed 3 different bikes go down. Actually 2 bikes crashed into the grass, and some type of baby blue bike go of into the mud then rode back onto the track in front of me. No big deal though. I was wondering if you were any of those 3.

Nope I wasn't any of those guys.:what: I was in the B group. I was riding the purple/yellow Alstare gixxer. I have a few pictures below that a friend took. So how is the A group different than the B? My first trackday (http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4286412547&signin_cookie_sent=1)

not really sure, I think the A group were those people who have taken the fasttrax class before, unlike the B group. I believe it was a fairly decent track school, but there was no agenda for the day and the instructor missed a few key points.
Oh well, it was fun anyways.

Gotcha. So are you local to Cincinnati as well? What track days are you looking at attending next. I know that I will go back to FASTRAXX for the Performance school one more time at least, but in the meantime I'm looking to get back out on the track. I hit up some curvy roads for a little while today but it just didn't feel the same. I ended up staying out for maybe an hour.

AWESOME! There's nothing like putting your knee down for the first time and you did it your first time on the track!

Glad you enjoyed it!!

I'm in Cincinnati now, but I spend many months in SoCal each year for work and racing. I'll be doing the 2-day california superbike school at Mid-O on July 26th & 27th. Did this school 4 years ago back in SoCal, and fiqured I would try the racing classes here. I also plan to go back to Putnam on the very last day of july and the 1st of august for thier open track day. The Putnam track is much better than Nelson, no crazy patches. Let me know if you want to join me at Putnam, I have room for 1 more bike.

Hey I think I might want to join you for the Putnam track. Who is sponsoring this one? Where do I sign up? Let me know. Thanks.

go to:
http://www.sportbiketracktime.com/
you pay 25 bucks to become a STT member, then you can enroll in any of the track days.
The putnam is on july 31st and august 1st.
price is $155 for 1 day or $285 for both days.
I plan to attend at least saturday, but may be persuaded to attend both days. Even though you have to pay 25 bucks for membership, it's sorta worth it with all the different discounts you get on hotels, tires, etc.
Let me know if your in.

rock on man...that's awesome sans the get-off of course :( I hate that you've already drug knee though and I've yet to do it after six friggin' track days. :( Oh well...soon enough. :D Yeah, the addiction is intense that is for sure. I'm going to try my damndest to be at the July 12th Mid-Ohio track day with Sportbike Track Time. I'd love to do Putnam on the 31st but things are keeping me from planning anything outside of 30days so as I get time I'll plan a track day here and there. I've heard Putnam rocks...tons of runoff and all that stuff.

Would love to see you out there. If you seen me I'm easy to spot. I ride a black 02 yam yzf600R with the decals that say *girl219 on the side. ;)

Glad you had a killer good time.
