Shield Replacement for HJC CL-12

When I grabbed my helmet earlier today, it was in the same spot I had left it the day before. However, when I picked it up, I noticed it had a very large scratch across the face shield. I don't remember it being there before, don't know how it got there, and surely I would have noticed something this large. I think perhaps some offspring are to blame, but I don't know. Doesn't matter. I need a new one.

Anyone know where I can get a good deal on these? I would LOVE to have a reflective shield, but those buggers are $30-$35 or more. Geesh. I found a standard clear shield for $20. Any advice?

I love this helmet and although it will be replaced eventually, I don't want to yet.

My two cents is the tinted sheilds are worth their money. Spend the extra loot and have happy vision.

Got my last two helmets from them, and while they aren't the absolute best price online, they are the best reliable price online. And they ship promptly too, none of the 'we'll take your order and sit on it until we get some of them in but not inform you' deal that you often get with ultra discount places.

thanks for the good word everyone.I can get a shield for that helmet for about $20 in clear or tints.Reflectiveones come in around$29.usually only takes around 2-3 days.sorry Joey yours had to come from cali.

Thanks Bill! I will contact your privately and likely toss down a few extra bucks and go for a reflective one. Are the reflective ones tinted as well (or just reflective)?

Just bought 2 helmets from Sporttour in Cincy. I got a HJC CL12 and a leftover Shoei TokUdome for $343. I have bought several pricey items from them and Glen alway cut me some pretty good deals. He seems to be able to get most items that he does not have in stock in short order. Small shop catering to our type of riding. Give him a try.
