ohhh...I love that track. Be careful guys, people for whatever reason like to ride 110% there and caused us to loose a lot of track time because of it. Hopefully everyone will stay vertical. have a good time, that track rocks (more so because it was the first place I drug knee). :D

Mike....sounds good! Hey have you been on the track before? I need someone to follow for the first session and learn the lines.

What class you guys running? I am debating on running A group, but since I don't know the track I might start out "I".

I guess there will be 66 riders, so it will be a full track!

oh yeah, I will be on a orange/white gsxr 600 #128.

Sounds good to me Matt. I don't know what group I'm in, someone else signed me up. I'm guessing I'll be in whatever there "race" group is. I've been ay Putnam a couple of times before. If you find someone who knows the line around the track let me know, I'll follow both of you.

It's not difficult, Bakes. The line around the track is pretty easy to learn. Now, if you want to go realllllly fast (Mark Junge speed), the line is a little different.

That's cool, I've been there a couple of times before. It's just that I'm a long way from knowing the fast way around anywhere.

BTW, If anybody who is heading to Putnam tomorrow/today has a couple of CR2430 Batteries I could beg, borrow, or buy you would be my hero. I ran all over town tonight and nobody carries them. And all of the Radio Shacks are closed.

Thanks

I've heard the mega fast guys dont even shut the throttle off through turns 1,2 and 3

Well, we shut it off for a second while downshifting to fourth. :p ;)

But yes, the first three turns are where you make time on that track. The last turn separates the men from the boys, too.

Well guess who was there today? I got to see Mark's line several times, well at least the parts I could see of it as he came around me and went out of sight.

It was a great day. Weather was great. Approx 75 bikes showed up (on a Monday) Some Pics can be seen here:
http://www.localriders.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=654

Roger and Myron (sp?) Bell and Jason Jacobi were there. I had a blast. Got to meet and ride with GoodMatt78. It will be a long off season.

The track is awesome. I found it a little hard to ride at 1st, it is way too smooth. I didn't have any ruts, holes or bumps to let me know it was time to turn in.

I really hope Bob and Fasttrax work it out to race at Putnam next year.

I love that track. Makes me wish I had another 750. :(

Who is Jason Jacobi? Does John have a brother? :what: John "Jaco" Jacobi is the Vesrah rider who beats on everybody with Mark.

Jim
My buddy Eric has helped John out a few times. Also woody d and reuben f. Check out the daytona pics www.ericblattert.com

I guess Reuben's endurance team laid the smack down on Kevin Schwantz and Ben Spies at the last endurance race. But they still came in overall second to Vesrah. From what I hear, when you got a van and 2 bikes its hard to compete with a factory team with high dollar quick change stuff...

BTW, cool pics mike! I look forward to hitting up Putnam with you in early april for the cycleoptions thang.

Sorry, I thought his name was Jason, Maybe I should have said "That other Really fast guy in Yellow leathers that said Jacobi on the back". Heck, I'm lucky if I can rememnber my name some times.

BTW, you wouldn't have needed a 750, Mark was on the 600 Supersport bike.
The bike is for sale, It could be all yours for 10K. I would have bought it at Putnam, but I was 3 dollars short. I couldn't find someone to spot me 3 bucks.

Putnam was a blast yesterday! I really enjoy ridinged with the holeshot guys and look forward to riding with them again soon!

It was really nice having 2 guys closer in ability on the track with me (I was still the slow one), especially after Vesrah #1 bike pasted me in a full wheelie from turn 7 until he set it down to turn into 8. Very Very humbling experience! :D

Yeah, That was pretty cool to see. I was wondering if he was ever going to put it down to make the turn.
