Sounds like they understand how popular and big this sport is getting. Of course, the AMA will have their round there, but you can probably count on quite a few events there at the club level!!
Hey, it's still a kart track, but if we can co-exist with the kart guys, I guess we'll be around each other more and more that these tracks pop up.
Now, if we can just change the minds of that guy in Indiana...

Give him a few years, after the karts tear it up more.
BTW, doesn't the arial view of the WI track look a bit "enhanced"? What's up with that?

Looks like an AWESOME facility. But I just don't want to travel that far to race anymore. Y'all have fun without me.

I'm with ya, man. That's why this SUMO stuff is so appealing. Tired of driving 36 hours one way to race for 2 hours...
However, you ought to scope it out. Dude, it is 30 feet wide and has some serious elevation incorporated. If it were only a bit bigger, a proper sport bike would be tits around there...
Come on Jim, it'll make ya feel good. Everyone does it. Once won't hurt - it's not addictive like everyone says...

A few years will be a few too long. SUMO racing is really picking up speed and all the proper kart tracks are starting to realize that they can benefit from opening their tracks up to others rather than just karts. Karting is getting stronger, but outside karts, they need more income and SUMO is coming in so fast that they are taking ahold of it before it gets away.
Sure, it may come open after a few years, but if there are a handful of more tracks around that are better and more supportive, why support a guy who pushed us away in the beginning??

It probably looks "enhanced" due to the fact that photo was taken right after the pavement was laid and the edges painted. Basically, not a sole vehicle was on it at the time. Heck, look at the parking lot and see how dark it is. The other little track has been there a good while...
