At first, I was dreading the thought of going through my trusty R6 with a fine toothed comb, in preparation for an upcoming trackday. This task always goes way beyond what it should be for the reason that I suffer from being a perfectionist.

I was very jealous, for a little while, to hear my buddy say he was just going to drop his bike off at the local shop and pay them to do it. I'm also a tight-wad.

I cleaned my garage. Found almost every fluid I need and an oil filter, in the process. Started tearin' the old girl down.

A few hours later and just as many beers, I'm almost done. What a relaxing sense of accomplishment. Guess I just forgot how painless it is spend a little time working for what you love.

Beside, I dont like to let anyone touch my baby. :jamout

Oh, I thought "track prep" was brushing off the rubber marbles & spraying down some VHT.

Matd,
I know exactly how you feel. I've dreaded taking on a new project for 'Pa', my trusty(?) Norton because it always turns into something else but that wonderful sense of accomplishment when the job is done and 'Pa' has brought me home from a test drive make it all worth it!
