I was just browsing for track day's and found NESBA has them at Nelsons and at Putnam 06/24 and 06/25.
I haven't done Nelson's since the early 70's. It would be an absolute HOOT to do it again.
One of my favorite memories was practice at my first race-- entering the carosel (SP?) a big old Norton Commando with hi pipes just ahead of me--
BA-LOOM, he backs off and a big puff of castor laden exhaust waifs back at me-- every time I get a wiff (ya, that's me-- over in the corner of the bike shop, unscrewing and sniffing castor base oil containers)-- it takes me back to that moment.
But, NESBA has a cool deal-- free beginner/try out. This is excellent for all of you wanting to, but a little worried about, doing a track day. The prep is minimal, (duct tape, stout outfit (you can get away with 2 pairs of jeans I think-- check the website) and the price is right.
I have never used NESBA-- any feedback?
