Well, things went a bit bumpy for us in time trails & Greg thinks now the clutch is fried. I couldn't get the bike to do a burnout in time trials, so I went into "streetbike mode" for eliminations and rode the bike like I rode the TT last year. No burnouts & a softer launch. I won 1st round, although the other bike redlighted and I ran just a smidge under my dial-in time (11.5438 on a 11.55 dial-in) but he ran way under his dial-in time (10.7201 on a 11.55 also). It's not too often that one sees a "head's up" match in a bracket race, unless it's an index class.

In 2nd round the launch was better and the pass was feeling faster than in round 1, so I rolled off the throttle before the finish line, but not soon enough, and broke out running a 11.20 on a 11.50 dial-in.

Another day of learning experiences. But hey, I got invited to talk on the "Kil-Kare Live" radio show on an upcoming Monday evening, perhaps Memorial Day if they air the show on the holiday. More info on that when plans are made.

Hey Pam,
You keep digging. You keep popping off .50 lights like that and we all better look out once you have that bike sorted out. I know about going to quick. My dial in the 3rd rd was 11.62 and ran 11.53. Luckily it was a bye run. Then Kawboy did the same thing in the semi after I messed up. DOH. See ya @ the track.

Sam, you need to register on localriders.com with your own screen name! :thumbsup

Thanks guys. Sometimes it's frustrating when things don't go according to plan, but we always learn something & I'm having fun, which is the most important thing!

Greg was racing Monday & yesterday so we were out of town & I had to get verification from the bike's previous owner as to if we could for sure use OEM type clutch plates. So we'll check out the clutch tonight.

BTW, I knew you put me in the right lane so the sun would be right behind the tree in that lane for round 2! :p I probably would have done the same thing, if I had lane choice.

No that wasn't it,I hate the right lane and thats no secret.I take both time runs in the left lane.

I take both time runs in the left lane.

I had not noticed. I tend to keep focused on my own "program" I guess. I have preferred the left lane in the past, probalby because my right eye is my dominant eye and it would be closer to the tree in the left lane. But now it usually doesn't matter which lane I run at any track, unless there might be potholes or something like that in one lane, like at Dragway 42 in May last year!
