Anyone anyone??......I'll be doing the 3rd. I hear that only Novice and Advanced class have openings.

I'm going to see if I can attend one of those days (even if I'm not riding on the track). The trumpet won't be fully broken-in yet, but I want to see how track days work. If they allow it, I'll probably bring some of my camera gear.

If the R6 and I survive this weekend at Barber, I might be up for that. My fiancee will probably leave me over it, but I've been itching to get up there since they resurfaced the track.

How many more miles do you have to go?? If you ride it down to Milford/QS&L tomorrow, that'll probably put you over the threshold, right? ;)307.2 miles on the till, to be exact. It would certainly help (although I wouldn't come straight down I-71) and I'd really like to make it down for the "official" bike night. Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to get away from work early enough to really make it happen, though. If I want to do it right, I'd take the whole afternoon off from work tomorrow (but can't)! :cry

Would STT mind if I just showed up with money and my bike? I will be near that part of the state for family stuff the 3rd and might like to stop in on the 4th. I could just drop my trailer there on the 3rd.

I don't think they will mind if they have an opening. I will be there 3rd and 4th. Gotta do something for the WERA race there in September.

Who all is going to be at the track on Tuesday? I may make my way up there with my camera equipment. But I'm mostly interested just to see how track days are run ... The little Daytona might start begging to try one out soon.

So...who went on Tuesday. I didnt see anyone I knew on Monday. Had a pretty good time..aside from the rain after lunch. Had 3 really good sessions in the morning. Saw a guy on 06' Triumph 675 go down in the Carosel. I did a lil off track riding myself in turn 1. The surface is outstanding..If I ever get the issues with my bike worked out, It would be a blast to ride.
Anyone going or intersted in going to STT's open track day on the 22nd of July. 4:30 to 8:30 4 hours of open track at mid ohio...Im thinking about it.

I was there. I was hoping for more rain as I had my Rain tires mounted and only got 2 wet sessions, could have been three but packed up early.
Got to ride my dad's TL-S for the first time on the track. Wasn't bad, couldn't get enough clear track to pass one of the instructors on a R1 though.
Monday Morning sessions were great, and the new pavement is awesome in the Dry. So many lines one can make up in every corner almost.
Some tricky spots in the wet that kept me well over the 2:00 mark for lap times, just more time on rains will help.
Not a total loss. I may be going to the July 22 as well as long as I don't wreck this weekend at Nelson with WERA.

I was there on Monday in Intermediate. My first time at Mid Ohio. Absolutely loved it - hoping to go back on 31st of this month.

Yeah its four hours, but its an LED event so no groups. I figure you'll get more track time than what you would with a regular three group track day, where you'll get 7 or 8 sessions at 20 mins each for a total of 2:20 to 2:40. Honestly I'd be beat after an hour of track time..LOL
