I think it's time honda brought out a 1200 rc

Maybe call it an RC 52?
An 1199cc "L" twin to compete in WSBK, with a "Big BANG" firing order?
A couple thou below the Ducati?

Woz, I think it's just because most folks don't have your epic visionary abilities....or those weird drug-induced hallucinations.

Honda ain't what they used to be. They used to be a motorcycle company that also sold cars. Now they are a car company that also sells motorcycles and it shows in their line up. They used to be a company of innovation and cutting edge tech. Now they are an also ran. Just look at the Goldwing for example. That bike is just about the same as it was 17 years ago. The CBR 1000 RR is no longer the class leader and hasn't been for quite some time. The 'new' bikes they have released look like something out of a Japanese Manga cartoon. Nope Honda has succumb to share holders and the almighty Yen leaving us motorcycle enthusiasts in the dust. Sad but true.

SADLY--
True
And precisely why they need to do something "new" all over again.
The last time they dominated WSBK was with the RC51.
The rules are in their favor (again) to out Ducati Ducati.

Re: I thinkit's time honda brought out a 1200 rc 51

Back in 2004 or so rumor had it the Honda was to release a street version of their then race winning V-5. I remember even seeing an article in Cycle magazine that a Italian firm (I think it was Moto-Morini but couldn't swear to it) had a deal with Honda to purchase a number of the 'production' V-5 motors to use in a limited production bike similar to a Bimota style bike. At the time I was riding a VTR 1000 Superhawk and was wanting that V-5 badly. After waiting until 2006 for the bike to surface it never did. I was so pissed at Honda I purchased a FZ1. Honda quit caring about us so I quit buying Honda's. Up to that point I was a die hard Honda rider. They have gotten to be a huge and very diversified corporation no longer run by the people and principles that Soichiro Honda had in mind. Hell they even sell aircraft now fer crissakes! His passing was the end of the Honda as we knew it. Oh and as for the RC 213 V-S my last name isn't Leno.

Agreed! 100%
Mr. Honda was the man that made motorcycling what it is today.
I don't care what you ride-- that is the truth.
