Instructor steiny....

for some reason I thought it would be a good idea to stand in a parking lot with people that have never been on a bike before

last July/August I took the class to be a instructor for Ohio.

So I'll be be spending some of my weekends trying to help new riders get their M/C endorsement.

I'll be teaching at the Diamond Oaks campus for Motorcycle Ohio.

Re: Instructor steiny....

Nice! I had fun watching others when I took the class. Had ridden dirt bikes for many years it was pretty easy for me but for a lot of the others, it was one of their first times which made for entertainment. Everyone passed...eventually

Good on you for taking time to help keep others safe. It's serious business teaching people skills that could very well save their lives one day!

Good on ya, Steiny! Thanks for doing this and good luck. Just try to enjoy yourself and to make it enjoyable for the students. Seeing others learn a new skill, and knowing that you had some part in that happening, can be very rewarding.

Very cool. Years ago I tried to teach my dad how to ride and he did great right up until he crashed. I was trying to show him how to get the feel for front end lock up. Not smart for a day one exercise. Since then I've considered getting instruction how to be an instructor. Plus it just sounds like fun.

Re: Instructor steiny....

I was nervous.

I made the cones back in 1995 but the U-turn threw me. I could have past but my gixxer on the ground insteat of my foot.

Oh well. I cluctched my bike again thru the cons and my reduced sport bike made it thru.
