Re: Edgewater 4-20

I had some fun at Dragway 42 on Saturday. AND (should have posted this too...) it was FREE!

Yeah, so I took my car, but all the "street" people got three runs before eliminations.

My times sucked because I couldnt get any traction off the line. Never had that problem before

Good fun in great weather EXCEPT....

-for the guy in the 2006 Corvette that crashed into the guardrail

- the guy who got sideways off the line and took out the tree!!!!

-SP

Dont go to Edgewater. You would be better going to Tri State. I am not going back to Edgewater... they treat bikes like crap.

You can get a lot of passes in at Tri-State but they don't do any track prep.

Re: Edgewater 4-20

Check Tri State's website to see when they will be open. There was flooding when the 12" of snow melted and I don't think they have been able to clean up the track yet.

Kil-Kare is a good choice also for test & tune. They prepped the track for me when I was there for a Wednesday t&t once, and I was the only bike there!

Oh, and I think Tri State & Kil-Kare's spectator fee is only $5. Edgewater's $10 is a rip off!

Re: Edgewater 4-20

I think that if you are running a stock wheel base bike then track prep isn't that big of a deal (as long as there is no spills) even a 1000 will wheelie before it will spin if the tire is warmed up.

Re: Edgewater 4-20

Isn't Race nights more for entry fees?

I would rather spend $25 vs $40 to enter in a class.

I can't comment on the condition of the track as I've not been by there in a while, but they were definitely running this past weekend. Even though I live a good 5-miles away, you can hear the roar of the cars echoing through the rolling rural hills.

Are you speaking about Edgewater or any drag race track? Last I checked Edgewater only paid if you make it to the semi's. Kil Kare the quarters I think. I won $42 once at KK in 2006 for the quarter finals. Of course it may also depend on how many entries they get.

So um where exactly is this Edgewater located? There is one in Cleveland but I didn't think they have drag racing there?
