I came a very long way

Thats right Vera...you tell em !!! You dont need to be doing anything on that machine that your not comfortable with....only thing that can help that is the more you ride , the more you will do....i kinda do the same here...this is only my second season of riding, im sure that i could lean a lil more into that turn....or take it a lil faster but until i am comfortable then i will keep riding the way i do now (carefull)

Hello everyone, Dave Leppelmeier, 46; some of you older racers might remember me from regional and National WERA & AMACCS races in the early and Mid 80's. Nowadays you might find me sometime flying around a curve on 800, 676, 145 or 26 in SE Ohio, as those are my favorite roads within a day trip of Cleveland. I ride an '03 Buell Firebolt XB9R, and have logged over 20K on it so far, mostly in SE Ohio and two trips; one to Deal's Gap and one through the Appalachian mountains to Portland, ME. The Buell makes a fine carving tool in the tighter twisties,
and you can Sport Tour on it comfortably.
My favorite ride is meeting up with some CORE friends out of Bolivar heading south and putting in a 450-500 mile day.
Ride on the edge!

Smile Greetings....

My name is Jeff Blakley, I am 35 and live in Lawrenceburg, IN with my wife and 3 year old son.

I have been in Information Technology for the last 14 years and consulting for a small company in Cincinnati for the last 8 years.

I enjoy anything that is outdoors, but especially mountain biking, hiking, camping, backpacking, fishing and most recently ultimate frisbee.

Bought my first bike last August and have been riding as much as possible.

Looking forward to my first LocalRiders organized ride this weekend (Blue Ridge Rally).

I live out past Ross, sorta in the middle of Ross, Millville, Shandon. We've probably crossed paths several times and not known it.

One of my favorite local rides is 252 (Cincinnati-Brookville) out thru Okeana and into Brookville IN. Unfortunately don't get much of an opportunity for evening rides or weekend play time these days. I do try to get to Two-Wheel-Tuesday each week though. We'll have to try to meet up and ride over there.

If you live across Ameristop, do you know Mike Cash (Harley guy, an old FL I believe) across the street from you? I think he still lives there.

I ride just about every day rain or shine from Kirchling Rd to McGongle, sometimes thru Millville, sometimes other rural routes. My Triumph has a big LocalRiders.com logo and a Holeshot Motor Sports sticker on the windshield. Perhaps you've seen it? Hehe....

Jeez Dave, aren't you satisfied messing with folks heads on the core website?? So you gotta come over here and corrupt people??
Warning people... this man is seriously deranged and rides that 'bolt way too quickly: I'm sure Erik never meant it to do the stuff Dave makes it do...

i guess i always thought i'd posted here but apparently i hadn't.

dean naramore, cincinnati, ohio, owned a hot rod '81 yamaha xs400 special (and oh, was it special) from '84 to '86; life in limbo from '87 to '97; bought my current scoot, '92 yamaha fj1200 w/ABS in 9/97, with 5k miles on it and two previous owners. what the heck were they doing with it i don't know. now has 56k miles on it, r1/6 front calipers, r1/6 front master cylinder, r1/6 brake lever, race tech springs, race tech emulators, custom-made dogbones, and cobra f1s slip-ons. i have a yzf600r 17" rear wheel that is my next project to replace the 16" stock rear wheel, will help with handling as well as open up my options for tires.

in may the fj group has a rally in boone, nc, considering fj's are slowly getting fewer, we're not exclusive, we have a few zx9r, fz1, moto guzzi, bmw, vfr, etc owners that were former fj owners or at least share our love for fast curvy roads; in september we meet in tellico plains, just at the foot of the cherohala skyway, and about 45 minutes from deals gap, for the same rally in the fall. if anyone is interested, contact me offlist at mst3kguy (at) aol (dot) com
