Kentucky MSTA Lunch Ride-in. Oct 25th

After talking with Dice this afternoon, I realized that I had forgotten to post any information about this event, on this site. I want to make sure I correct that mistake and let everyone know that they are very welcome to attend........

The October Kentucky MSTA lunch meet will be held on October the 25th at Miguel's Pizza in Skade, Ky. The meetup time will be at 12:30. Miguel's is located on Natural Bridge Road, just about 1/2 mile off the Mountain Parkway and about 1/4 mile from the entrance to Natural Bridge State Park.

Dice and I will be leaving mi casa in Pendleton County about 9:30 Saturday morning and will be taking back roads (10,165,36,77) down through the rolling hills of Kentucky and the Red River Gorge to Miguel's.

If anyone is interested in joining us, send me a PM. Otherwise, I hope to see lots of people there. Looking forward to some great pizza, conversation, and roads on what promises to be a beautiful day.

Here's your chance to go thru the famous Nada Tunnel after a great ride thru the park on route 77.....Miguel's is just down the street from there! Let either Pat or I know if you'd like to join us Saturday!

I'm thinking I'll be skipping route 10 and cross at Augusta so I can catch a 616 off of 875 and over to 68 and work my way to 32 , 36 and then 77 etc etc..

JW says he can make the trip so we'll be leaving the eastside 8:30 or so.... If anyone wants to tag alone let me know!

Got 315 miles on today's lunch adventure thru the very crowded Gorge park......
plus the out the door line packed Miguel's Pizza! But it was a good one!
If you ever decide to order (like I did) the steak sandwich, be warned....I think they load up about half a cow (real steak) on that bad boy! (buy one to feed two!) Great ride down & back!......could have done without the wasp to the neck attack...but it happens!
Thanks, Pat! Good seeing everyone down there too.....Dave, Ron, & John, & even dualsport Mr Pope was there!

Great ride down! I continued to Big South Fork in TN to meet up with some people, had a great night camping and am north of Frankfurt KY now. Broke a clutch cable in So. KY, threw on the spare and am headed home. Darn 1976 made cable only lasted 90,000 miles.. Those Germans and their quality control....
Great seeing you guys!!

Ron....

Really happy to see you guys down there, glad you were able to make it. I imagine the ride down into BSF was fantastic, along with the ride back up (minus the broken cable). The whole south central area of Ky is just filled with fantastic riding, and most people just skip right by it and head to the Smokeys. Once again, thanks for coming down. Always good to see you and really nice to see people still riding (and enjoying) the older iron.

Pat, great to see ya!
The ride to BSF was awesome. Finally rolled into camp at dusk tired and hungry..
Actually, I have carried a spare cable for that bike for the past few years, just never really had a reason to change it. It allowed me to sit at a gas station in southern KY and meet a whole bunch of riders who stopped to make sure I was OK. Couldn't ask for nicer people to meet!

You're dead right about the roads! I do a fair amount in southern KY and Virginia and always take a little extra time to ride central KY on my way.. Catch up with you soon!
