LATE NOTICE!!! NKY Ride Friday, 4/24, at 12 PM
Meeting Bryn (Soutie) and Keith (non-LR) tomorrow at noon at Applebee's near the I-275 interchange at Turkeyfoot Rd in NKY. Gonna be a 3-4 hour roll with some "nice" roads and M-A-Y-B-E a few goat paths…all paved. Kickstands up at 12:15. Probably end up at the Hash or somewhere west of the 75 N-S corridor.
If you need to contact me last minute, my cell# is 5one3-5sixO-one94two. Text preferred. Weather looks puur-fect.

You guys have a fun safe ride. Thanks for putting this together Bubba.
Maybe you could put a ride together closer to the west side of 275 for me? Towards Brookeville from EMRR, etc. I can not get up early enough to join you in Ky. Have fun!

Re: LATE NOTICE!!! NKY Ride Friday, 4/24, at 12 PM
Great ride today!!! Bryn and Keith and I headed out from the Crestview Mall area and ran both smooth sweepers and a few new goat paths that I'd never ridden.
This route would make a great ride for two up DS folks who want to experience the smaller KY roads and enjoy the views of the rolling hills and creek bottoms with non-existent traffic. Got about 185 miles in with short stops in Williamstown and RH. Everybody home safe and happy. Pics of Hogg Ridge Rd where it crosses Greasy Creek…. (you can't make this stuff up) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: LATE NOTICE!!! NKY Ride Friday, 4/24, at 12 PM
what a bunch of dead ends you found.
I LIKE IT. I, AM VERY near this area. I also have some very very easy trails and some marsh trails if you can handle it to the back yard of my house on Astoria Ct. Too bad that you all didn't have me involved. I know of some establish trails that are fun and level. There are other areas that are too steep for my XR650 so I advoid it.

djewell: None of the bikes on yesterday's ride are really 'trailies'--the Strom is 525+ lbs and Keith was on an FZ8. Both Bryn and I did a lot of backroad riding--including many of the high passes around Silverton/Ouray/Telluride--when we were in Colorado a few years ago, but the wet slimy muddy muck that you find around the tristate area would NOT be my cup of tea on either of these bikes. I rode technical single-track trails for years when I had my KDX and KTM, but I hung up my dirt gear and sold off the little bikes a couple of years ago.
Anytime I post a ride notice, it's an open invitation to any LR folks, so you were more than welcome to tag along with us. We set a pretty fast pace, but always wait for the last bike at every turn. ![]()
