Bengals are done.

Well after that pathetic game Sunday and the Jets win the Bengals are pretty much done for the season. By the way they have been playing the last couple of games you'd think they were sponsored by Kawasaki!!

Re: Bengals are done.

Nah Buell.

They seem to break down mid race and rarely finish.

But Kawi is good to Look good before the race, qualify good, start good, then just fade back.

Re: Bengals are done.

You should be used to it by now Martin, last couple of games...try last couple of Decades..... You seem to root for the wrong team, just like you ride the wrong bikes. You notice the team that controls the bengals fate....The Jets...(green)..Kawasaki...green .imagine that..

Re: Bengals are done.

I don't know why, but I was happy when they started self destructing. I don't not like them, but one who just doesn't care.

Re: Bengals are done.

At least your team can win sometimes. We're still waiting for a winning season up here in Cleveland.

I must say, that was a dramatic loss Sunday. We were watching and even my wife (who doesn't follow football) was in shock at the bad snap to end the game.

Re: Bengals are done.

I've been a fan for a while, even through the decade of doom. I have a sweatshirt from '73, a polo from '89 and a jersey from '05. That being said, injuries have killed us since the playoffs. The offensive line has been pieced together, Chad has had a bad shoulder all season, and Carson hasn't been 100% either. The defense has been mediocre and hope to get better with some draft picks. Injuries have hurt them all season too, not to mention the arrest record.

I think it would be wise to just let this season go. If they do sneak into the playoffs I don't think they'll get very far and risk more injuries. Baltimore is just too strong this year.

Don't worry Martin, it could be worse, they could be like a Honda.

No team is like a Buell. If they were they would have state of the art uniforms and equipment all worn by senior citizens!!

Re: Bengals are done.

Let's remember the famous words of Yogi Bera "It ain't over, till it's over".
I agree that the Bengals pulse is fading away, but they are not dead yet.
You never know whats going to happen on any given day. By the way the Jets played last night, it's a toss up between Oakland and the Jets.

Re: Bengals are done.

There's one other way...though it's not much prettier:
A loss by Denver (at home to San Francisco) and a win by Kansas City (at home vs. Jacksonville) would give Denver and Kansas City identical 9-7 records. Kansas City owns the tiebreaker advantage over Denver by virtue of better division record. The Bengals, with a win over Pittsburgh, would also finish with a 9-7 record. Cincinnati owns the tiebreaker advantage over Kansas City (and Tennessee if the Titans also finish 9-7), as a result of better conference record.

What i want to know is where is the guy who was so high on the Steelers last year. He hasn't said a peep all season.

I can talk smack this year as a Bears fan at least for 2 more weeks
