Value of a '03 GSXR MOTOR (COMPLETE)?

A buddy of mine has a complete 2003 gsxr 1000 motor, comlete from the fuel pump to the header. before he pulled it all from the bike (a repo from the cops) he fired it up and it ran like perfect. It was impounded by the cops for the P.O. riding like a fool and laying it down...presumably drunk so it was confiscated.

What is this set-up worth is what I'd like to know?

I'm not completely sure...have you checked ebay to see what they are going for? I'd like to guess about $1500-$2000, but again, I'm not sure.

How many miles?

I think you'd have a tough time getting $2,000.00 - the trade value on the bike is only $4200.

Based on the mileage (and outward condition if the bike was laid down) you're probably looking at $500-$700 tops.

Unless you find a tool....they seem to be a dime a dozen around here.

Someone a little sensitive?

Around "here" could mean anywhere....where I am, this forum, the internet in general.

Don't take yourself so seriously.

Boy Rick, not the morning person huh. You will soon find we come here to be amongst friends and have a good time. Not many keyboard commandoes here. So let's try this again(I will be kinder ang gentler as to not ruffle your feathers).

Hey Rick, welcome to LR! What do you ride?

Moving on!

Since you asked, I don't have a problem with morning. I find it amusing that a lot of people seem to think they're awful important to the point that any percieved slight is directed towards them or their associates.

What do I ride? I've got an 04 Busa and a 2002 KTM.

Furthering that concept, its especially amusing to see brand-spanking new members on a forum advertise their own self-perceived importance by interjecting themselves as the social-commentator-at-large.

Welcome to LR! We really do try to get along!

Justin <--- Be nice! He's got a daughter on the way!

I made a comment in the thread, and all of you jump my ass. Real friendly place.

Exactly how long do I have to be a "member" here before I'm part of the good old boy network?

Much of what's said is just joking with you... Might not sound like it, but it is...

As for becoming a "Good Old Boy"?
I can't tell you. I've been here a few years and I've never met Mtynan (Martin) or AnswerMeister (Dave)..
