Well it is possible to make the trip seeing how it runs to april.. Any chance weather breaks in March and we blast up on the bikes? Think positive it could happen... come on global warming!!

I considered it briefly when I saw this a few days ago, but 6 hours is a long way to go and makes it difficult to do in one day. Hehe...

Re: ROAD TRIP (cure for cabin fever?)

My son and I, along with one ot two friends, have made it an annual event to attend the Novi edition of the IMS shows on the 1st weekend of January. Takes about 4 1/2 hours to get up there. After attending the show in the afternoon and having a nice dinner in the evening, we always spend the night. Have a nice breakfast with friends in the morning, then come back. Makes a nice mid-winter break.

However, we ALWAYS drive. Weather here and there can be quite different. I'd never think of riding up north anytime before late April. To much of a chance of being caught in a lake effect ice/snow storm before then.

WOULD like to see that show however.

Re: ROAD TRIP (cure for cabin fever?)

Does going to Iron Pony count as a road trip? If so I did one yesterday, I love that place.

I've been wanting to get back up there for the past couple months, but seems like I just can't ever find the time (how is that possible?). What did you buy?

Re: ROAD TRIP (cure for cabin fever?)

I had to buy SOMETHING, I found a nice pair of track gloves, yellow black, for 9 bucks. Then I rememeberd they will match the bike great but all my other gear is all black.

If anyone needs a good jacket they have THOUSANDS of all leather, all colors really nice jackets, joe Rocket maybe, 59.99!

The same kinda deals on helmets, thats what they do best on close outs, jackets, helmets and gloves. Most the other stuff is small sizes or super huge sizes.

I got tyere with only like 1/2 an hour before closing ( I think Leah planned it that way!)
