Who would be interested in a regular Sunday ride?

I had several requests to revive a regular Sunday ride. Post your interest so we can get an idea of just who all would take part in the ride. I work night shift and day time rides are not easy to make so basically any kind of ride would have to require a solid participation so that I'm not the only one who shows up to ride. We would need a regular group. Your thoughts?

Re: Who would be interested in a regular Sunday ride?

Not to piss in your Cheerio's but the wording of your first post makes it seem like you're asking people who sign up to feel obligated, like if they say "Yeah, I'll come out" and then they miss a weekend, it'll somehow screw you over since these rides "aren't easy to make" for you and "will require solid participation".

I read your first two sentences and was about to reply HELL YEAH! then I read the rest and felt like I'd be signing up for a dedicated weekly job that I HAD to be at.

Re: Who would be interested in a regular Sunday ride?

OK. Good point. Perhaps an explanation then. I held the reigns of the weekly group for several years and really don't want to do so again. I would love it if someone else would grab the bull by the horns and run with it. I work a 12 hour night shift from 7a to 7p. I have to work every other weekend. What I used to do with the old group was get a few hours sleep when I got off work on Sundays and then ride most of the day and then have to be back into work at 7p Sunday night for another 12 hour shift. As I've gotten older I simply can't maintain that kind of schedule any longer. Someone who works normal day hours would be a better choice to head up a new 10/22 weekly ride. Perhaps now you can see what I was trying to say. I too would like to ride on my off weekends so a new group would work. The Asphalt Junkies used to have a weekly ride but that too has gone away. I can't help but feel that there are still riders who would do a weekly ride and simply have no place to go. Please feel free to step up to the plate!!

Re: Who would be interested in a regular Sunday ride?

I just rode with a couple guys a week ago on Saturday morning about 9:30am leaving Florence and stomping all over Falmouth/Mt. Olivet.

Unfortunately, I've just picked up a side job and my weekend availability is about to drop off drastically.
